A couple things I always have on long trips Bill:

Spark plug socket and spare plug
Small spool of 16/18 ga. wire
Side-cutters.

Also, for those of us that carry the Sav-U-Ride and have the chrome clutch pull cover on the primary, make sure you have the small allen to remove it. I believe it's a 2 or 3mm but I don't remember off the top of my head. I learned about that one the hard way...

Sub a flashlight for a headlamp/light instead....that way you can still have 2 hands and light where you need it.

Added your 3 items and the small Allen wrenches were on list already.

Thanks

That looks pretty complete for tools. Other things I might add if I find the right size (functional but not too bulky) is a gas siphon hose with either a little hand crank pump or a "shaker" one-way valve, and maybe a small set of jumper cables. You could always push a bike to try to get it started but with modern ignitions I suspect the ignition refuses to fire if the battery is low. At least mine was acting that way at the end of last season.

I've thought of picking up one of these for such occasions:

Sparky,

Great list!! In addition to pretty much all of what you listed I also carry the following regularly.
- Both a high power compact LED flash light AND a head lamp (like J Ritz)
- Save ur Ride cable
- 3/8" ratchet, 3" & 6" extension
- 3/8" breaker bar
- Metric sockets (3,4,5,6,7,8,10,11)
- Metric allen sockets (3,4,4.5,5,5.5,6,7,8,10)
- I also carry the 17MM combination wrench for my rear axle (I know you can use crescent but I prefer the solid fit of the combo)
- 16MM allen socket for the front axle

And for really long rides (not every day) where gas stops are 180+ miles between I have 2 MSR 800ML bottles for emergency fuel.

Sparky,

Reading your list, I thought for a moment you traded your Vision for a Harley. I must be a very lucky rider as my past history riding Hondas includes never breaking down and my recent history with Victory is the same. I know I've just jinxed myself so, from reading the list and everyone's comments, guess I better buy a sav-ur-ride (sic) in case my clutch goes and a couple necessary wrenches, huh?

In the old days we would pull off over flow hose for the siphon hose
and walk the road and find a bottle some one thrown out. Back when
