Are we going as a group?

roughly 1000/1100 mile depending on route

four lane or secondary roads?

Hey Lee,

I'm guessing it will be a free for all. I think there is a subset that is going to do a SaddleSore down and would all be together. Some might be going down earlier to ride other roads on the way. Personally I'm still not sure what I'm doing. Fairly certain I am going to the event but not sure when or for how long. MommaBote might be going but if she does she'll probably fly and I'll meet here there. I'm leaning toward the SS1K for myself though. My plans kind of depend on like I said, if we are going to go down earlier or something to explore the countryside. I'm sure was we get closer to August folks will be getting more detailed plans together and some folks will ride down together.

I am planning to head down the day before, either 2 days or one shot unsure at this point. Depends on what others are doing.

Then i am staying in the area the week after, so not going early.

Made reservations, too early in the year for me to determine my starting point and how long I’ll be staying.

This is to certify that Chris Rowe rode 1050 miles with a subset of the Twin Cities Victory Riders including G-Moe from Lakeville, MN to Johnson City, TN for the national Victory Motorcycles Club rally.

I'm glad so many of you are coming down! For those who've made their reservations, I would like to ask a small favor:

Would you please register for the meet? The TN rally has already broken the registration record from previous meets, but I'm hoping to make a real record.

So far, no one from Minnesota has registered, yet.

I'm in. Mrs. Bote isn't going so a SS1k seems like a good idea!

Who all is going from the TCVR. I think Thumper said only a few from the TCVR are registered. Well, he said 1 was registered but I pointed out I was too so maybe others were missed....

I am in! And I registered a couple weeks ago.

When I am there, at some point, or after if need be, I have a little (really - only ~250 mile round trip) ride to a town north of there I have wanted to visit.
It was once a very vibrant coal town in the 50's, and then became somewhat famous after a movie in 1999; and then again after an article in Playboy about Prescription Drug abuse, in 2012. The aftermath of a tough, dangerous coal miners town... and what is left after the mines closed, injuries prevailed and prescription drugs took over.
War, WV.

And maybe also another ride to Maggie Valley - to eat at a local Maggie restaurant that was made somewhat famous by Popcorn Sutton.

But, as a known "lone wolf" motorcyclist, I could do either, or both of these on my own.
