Hammer Speed Sensor?

The speedo on my 07 Hammer S has been acting up and I think I need a new speed sensor. The problem is that I can't find one anywhere online for the pre-08 bikes. Anyone have an idea where I can find one?

wow, you can't find that thing anywhere! Maybe check with Dave at TheVicWerks, I don't know if he is stocking any older parts but worth checking especially since he's here in the metro. Keep an eye on ebay I guess. in the meantime, take the sensor out clean it real well and make sure the contacts are free of corrosion, scrub with a metal brush, etc. then put some dieelectric grease and put it back in. see if that helps. Many of the issues with that sensor can be taken care of that way. I swapped mine out on the Jackpot years ago but that's when you could find them easily. luckily it's easy to swap in and out to clean or replace.

For electrical switches and gizmos that are acting up, cleaning and then treating connectors and moving parts with CRC 2-26 electrical grade lubricant can fix them. This stuff fixed my front brake light switch.
