XC Windshield Lending Library

Seems like I'm always reading about people looking for the perfect windshield on the Cross Country. I just bought one (Long Ride Shields Flip). Last fall, a friend gave me a couple ones he tried and didn't care for.

Since windshields are so subjective:
  • Rider height
  • Helmet
  • Passenger
  • Speed
  • Weather
  • Lowers Fairing Config
  • Bars
I've decided to start a Windshield Lending Library. Available for use are the following shields:
  1. Victory - stock XCT shield and brackets
  2. Klockwerks - Flip
  3. Cee Bailey - (I think it's a) Dragon
  4. LRS - V-Curve 14"
Let me know if you want to try out a shield.

Will you clean them when we are done?

Hi, I'm Thumper. I'm introducing myself to you because you don't seem to know me, Paul. How often have you seen me clean anything?

Windshield

I'd like to try the Klockwerks flare.

I was looking at the LRS the one you list sounds too tall, seems the 10" looks about the right height for me to see over.

We got two bikes named "Big Red" now, maybe we got two Thumpers.
The other being the "clean" one Paulie knows.

Hey Richard - sorry, I missed the updates to this thread. I just lent the Klockwerks out last night. I'll let you know when it is available again.

I have a XC blade (7") and a stock height Gustafsson Euroflip (9"?) for anyone to try. I just got my 7jurock 10" flip today, going to see if that is better.

Sorry, Richard. I never updated this when the Klock came back. It's going to be on loan again.

I'm adding a 7Jurock 16" Flip to the library, should be in soon. That makes the library:
  1. Victory - stock XCT shield and brackets
  2. Klockwerks - Flip
  3. Cee Bailey - (I think it's a) Dragon
  4. LRS - V-Curve 14"
  5. 7Jurock - Flip 16"

And remember, donations to the library are always welcome.
