Well, that’s a wrap!

Today I sold my 2000 V92C. It has been with me for more than 20 years, but it was time to let it go. I haven’t been very active on the board for a long time, but did want to stop in to say goodbye, not even being sure who would remember me (or who I would remember) from my active days on this forum many years ago.

Hi Chris! I certainly remember you (I was formerly johnritter_50) on the former yahoo, and this current forum.
Sad to see you sold your bike - but that doesn't mean you have to say goodbye. There are still awesome people in the TCVR Utopia, riding a Victory, multiple brands, a different brand, or not at all.
I hope you are well my friend.

Hey Chris -

Not only do I remember, but up until a couple of years ago, I still had the LS tie-dyed TCVR shirt that you made available for the group! If I'm not mistaken, it was at the Wings and Wheels show in Osceola where I picked mine up!

Congrats on selling the bike and hopefully you're still out on two wheels!

Sad about the bike. Glad to hear from you even it is to say you gave up your Victory. Hope all is well with the family.

I haven't seen you post here in many years, but I remember you.

Sad that you sold your bike, but wish you good luck in the future.

I’m still riding; bought a 2002 GL1800 Goldwing with a trailer for $6000 (sold the Victory and Trailer for $2450). The Goldwing has 35K on it, and the trailer is an Escapade. The Victory had somewhere near 70K (the speedometer reset when a local shop tried to jump it while working on the fork seals...it had sat there long enough for the system to drain the battery). I had more than 60K on it when that happened (not sure how much) and 6,000 afterwards.

Does anyone have recommendations of affordable places to replace tires these days? I’ve been out of the riding experience for some time (only riding a few hundred miles a year) and haven’t kept up on the good places for service.

I've never been here, but I have heard good things about them.

Here's a 2nd vote for Midnight Motorcycle down in Hastings. They did my current E4s that are on the Vision. When I was there, there seemed to be a number of 'wings getting tires.
