Bottoms Up Bike fest
Harald Nendza
Fest at the Castle Rock Township planning commission meeting this past Monday. We had a great number of supporters and your input was and is greatly appreciated! Our event still has life and we will make another appearance Tuesday May 13th at 7p.m. This time we will be presenting the Bottoms Up Bike Fest business plan to the Township Board instead of the planning commission. Once again we ask for your support at this meeting As you know we have meet all the criteria Dakota County requires to have this event. We may have lost one tiny battle but it's certainly not the war and with your continued support Bottoms Up Bike Fest will become a reality on July 19th 2008! This coming Tuesday May 13th at 7:00 p.m. sharp! Castle Rock Township Town Hall is approx. 2 miles south of Farmington . Take Hwy 3 to 240th St. W turn east for ˝ mile. Bottoms Up Bike Fest
Hello Crockett, Sparky_Bill and TCVR,
I want to thank Sparky_Bill once again for showing up to support Bottoms Up Bike Fest at the Castle Rock Township meeting. To make a long story short, my family has property in Castle rock Township that I was going to have a bike fest on. We applied for all the proper permits, insurance, bonds, etc. etc. and they denied us on all permits (conditional use permit and interim use permit) so we could have vendors on the property. The township came out in force to support that they "didn't want this type of event in their neighborhood" and we kept hearing "move it to the Dakota County Fairgrounds"... I'm happy to say that last night Bottoms Up Bike Fest WILL be at the Dakota County Fairgrounds (1.5 miles from the original location) and it is still on! We are also in the process of getting a license to sell beer at the bike fest. So check the website for updates. I am currently working on trying to get Mies Outland to be the exclusive Polaris Victory vendor for Bottoms Up Bike Fest, I am just waiting to hear back from Jenny and the fine folks at Mies Outland. I would like to see Victory's in the bike show as well as the biker games :-) Look forward to meeting you guys and please check the Bottoms Up Bike Fest website for updates. Thank you for your time and support, -Jeff MacDonald http://www.bottomsupbikefest.com |

Depending on the weather, I'm thinking about it. Not sure if'n I'll stay both nights, or just Saturday.
