2017 Chili Feed - Sept 8 & 9

Chili Feed is only 1 month away! Time to start making plans for the Best Party In the Valley!

The Chili Feed is the fundraising party held by the St Croix Valley Riders (SCVR), a motorcycle rights organization similar to ABATE. The SCVR is a little different because it covers Eastern MN and Western WI. The areas where most of us ride frequently.

The Chili Feed officially runs from Friday night to Sunday morning. It is held on the private campground of the Gas Lite bar, about 12 miles East of Prescott on US Hwy 10 and Co Rd 0. Camping prior to Friday has a minimal nightly charge to it. Most vendors setup on Friday morning.

The early party goers start setting up the camps on Wednesday afternoon. There is usually a small band on Thursday evening for dancing at the outdoor bar. Bar food is available or you can bring your own cooking to the campsite. We setup a Victory group camp on the Southwest side of the campground near the river.

Festivities get going Friday. Bands start in the early evening. Saturday there is free beer and soda starting early in the morning. Free Chili starts getting served around lunch. Bike games and a group ride start about mid-morning. Bands start in the early afternoon. 2 stages.

Who's going?

I think I saw somewhere that the beer starts flowing on Friday this year. I sure hope they ordered extra!

No. The only tiers on admission are if you get advanced tickets ($45) or after the feed officially starts ($60). I still think it's a great deal.

Kelly and I (you might remember us from summers we could actually ride) are having our baby shower/ diaper party Saturday Sept 9. It is at Philanders from 1-5. All are welcome to swing in for a beer!

1 Week Away.

Looks like we have a nice stretch of weather ahead of us for the Chili Feed, with dry days, mostly in the 70s.

Get your tickets on-line at SCVR.org or at the gate.

MamaT is cooking on Friday night. Please let us know if you're going so we can plan accordingly.

When picking up your on-line ordered tickets, the instructions say:
"Pick-up Instructions

(Will-Call) Chili Feed tickets that you order online can be picked up at the gate starting the first day of the Chili Feed, September 8th, 2017, at the GasLite Bar and Grill.
"

When you get there, you should avoid the Gas Light Bar's parking lot and go directly to the East Gate off of County Road O just 1/2 block South of Hwy 10. The first thing you'll see when you pull in is the Will Call tent. Give them your name and show ID to get your wrist bands.
