My First Ride HERE This Year

I am planning on checking out Welch, Co O and Co. A tomorrow. Leaving my place in Farmington at 10AM. Anyone interested? Any rain should be over before 10AM.

Welch isn't too bad.

It is dusty all over - and sand in the typical spots.

The back twisty road from Redwing to Lake city is also dusty and there are a couple spots where the road needs to be patched, with some gravel spilling out of them.

I'd love to tag along, but I have to pick up my boat from storage at 1:00 so I guess your ride will be to long for me this time! Have fun and be safe! I road 135 miles up here around my place this Friday! A Really Nice Afternoon!!

I would have gone with you, but I had to work until noon. Me and the wife are saddling up at about 1:30.

Well the rain was over and off I went. Temp was only 45 most of the way but got up to 51 for a short bit and then back down. Felt fine. Roads dried off but still sandy. Roads traveled, Welch to 19 then into Redwing across bridge to CR O down to CR A and some roads less traveled. 35 to Nelson then up Hwy 60 then CR 2 too CR 11 to check if eagles were fishing. NOT Then back home on Hwy 52

Sparky,
Still can't get used to you with that color! Just missed you at Red Wing Motorsports.

Randy and I rode out to Vasa and Welch Friday after I got home from work. Then stopped at Kings Place for a burger. I thought the roads were pretty good, but I was still pretty careful in case of sand. (Plenty of time this year to push it a little more through the curves...)

Light sand on main County Roads like O & A. 35 is fine but I explored some other side roads and on the hills heavy sand could hardly tell they were blacktop.

My wife and me left South Mpls and went north. We ended up in Rockford for lunch. Then went up to Rogers and Otsego, and Albertville before we headed back down home. Nice ride, but got a bit chilly towards the end.
