Meet-n-Greet for Grizzly Race Team Riders

As most of you know, Grizzly has 4 female riders traversing the world in order to set a World Record. I have been asked to escort the Russian rider and most likely the others, to Bison Thunder in St. Micheal. I will be meeting them at the North Dakota/Canada border, ride with them to Bison and then ride with them to the Wisconsin/Illinois border. So far, Faith has been greeted with great fanfare at her check-points and Faith & Grizzly would like to have as many TCVR members and bikes as possible at Bison and/or North Dakota. I'm not certain as to which day they will be arriving, so please stay tuned. You can also watch their progress online at: https://event.gps-live-tracking.com/wwr_2018/
John may be riding up to ND with me and it would be great if we could get some more Victorys escorting these World Record Women to our great state.
Who's in?

Looking for TCVR members to go to ND and also looking for TCVR members to create a welcoming committee at Bison. Anybody able to make banners?

Right now, I', thinking that the first rider will be getting to ND from this Thursday to Saturday. The Austrian and Swiss riders will be one week later and I presume that Faith will be one week after that.

Our own Faith will be home soon. I will be leaving Tuesday morning, heading for Lloydminster and hopefully meeting Faith in Grande Prairie, AB. It appears that she will be leaving Tuesday morning with plans to be at Bison Thursday night. I'm looking for volunteers to ride with Faith for her last leg. Let me know where you want to join in at. The last scheduled gas stop is at the Holiday Station in Alexandria at Hwy 29. I will have my SPOT Tracker on, as well. Here is the link:

3140 miles in 60 ish hours is going to be a tough nut considering the usual road construction on the ALCAN and weather this time of year.

Hope it goes well for her!

She has the rough section to ride, I have the easy portion. The stretch from Anchorage to Destruction Bay is pretty rough. I'm hoping that most of the traffic is heading North.

FINAL STRETCH

Faith is still in this race and is on the home stretch. Even if the Swiss rider, Isa, makes it home before Faith does, there is still their individual travel and off-clock times to calculate. So far, Faith has ridden a virtually flawless race. So has Isa. So, they are virtually neck-and-neck. It will be exciting.

Follow the Grizzly page for Faith's SPOT Tracker (link below), but realize it can be up to an hour behind in sync-ing. Or follow Happy Dan's tracker. Don't be surprised if these trackers are NOT real time.

Some riders will be meeting Faith in Portal, ND where she will cross the border into the USA. From there, she plans on making a straight run into Bison Thunder in St Michael, MN where her race will finish. Only gas stops between Portal and Bison Thunder.

Her last gas stop will be in Alexandria, MN at the Holiday gas station on the Southwest corner I-94 and MN-29. It's near the Holiday Inn Express and the Country Inn Suites. That Holiday gas station is just 100 miles from Bison and would make a great meet-up location for anyone wanting to revitalize our local girl and ride with for the last stretch. Best guess is that will be late Thursday night or sometime on Friday. But check trackers to be sure.

Anyone who can meet up with there that, I know that would mean the world to her.

Here is the link to the Grizzly Tracker Page.

Apparently, the What's App application has a more up-to-date tracker than the SPOT technology that is being used. Dan will probably have that enabled on his ride, so if you have his phone number, add him to your contacts. I may also have that enabled on mine as well. My phone # is in my profile.

I am greatly looking forward to welcoming our globe trotting little racer back from her incredible adventure. Hope to see you there!
