Thanks for the warning, Kent. Potholes sure can be a problem, especially the ones disguised as puddles.

But, honestly, this is the first time I ever hear of a Pothole being blamed for a person's death! Wow. Dude was an experienced Yamaha R1 racer, too!

And, lets not forget that 11 other motorists died in MN in the last 10 days. Use appropriate caution, absolutely. But I sure ain't going to live in a bubble. Getting out on Monday felt soooo damned good!

I think you can add a few more names to that. One of them has to be the ONE. Rockin Randy, Johnny Ritz and IBVic.

6 inches down and 43 temps for a few more days. Lovin the forecast.

Not sure trailering bikes down to Georgia and riding south from there counts for much.

Battery is charged, that bad clutch cable will be fixed on Wednesday. The it's just a matter of getting the ice out of the parking lot here at the apartment, and that's just about done.

Took the Vic out today. Just down the street and back to get it warmed up. The roads around here are horrible. We need a good rain to wash all this crap off the road.

I went Manning to 61 and then left to Prescott, then down WI 35 to Nelson and back across the river to Wabasha. Turned around and came back the same way. Did that yesterday and today, nearly 400 miles, then washed the bike and put it back in it's nice heated parking spot.

Got out and rode from Mpls to Waterville to Jordan to Belle Plain, then back to Mpls. Roads I was on are clean and relatively pot hole free. Except the ramp from 169 North to Crosstown East. Thought I was gonna get bucked by a pothole there, but I made it.

Got on 61 in Stacy, headed north to Hinkley, then across the St Croix River into Danbury Wi, took WI 35 down to Taylors Falls, then the St Croix Trail (95) back NE thru North Branch and Harris, then across back towards home... a nice 250 mile putt, just enough to scratch the itch.

Roads weren't too bad, a lot of water from melt off in some areas, some more good soaker rains will help a lot.
