I would follow you up any hill Bill. Count me as one riding along on the way home.
Do you know how many miles this route will be and what time we need to leave Spirit Lake.:D

Great I will add your name to the list. As for miles it will be 275 miles from Jackson to Red Wing and that sure is not by miles the crow flies....grin

If I remember correctly the road with Spring Valley and Preston is 16? I recall going throught those towns on our trip, if it's 16 it's one fantastic piece of road to bike on. What I have to consider is we need to be home mid-afternoonish to meet Michaels sitter. What time do you suppose we'll be leaving Spirit Lake? I'm thinking we're looking at 6 or 7 hrs. ride time to get back to the cities. Am I way off here or does this seem about right? Oh man, I am SO LOOKING forward to this weekend! I hope the weather gods are good to us Vicsters!

I have 16 from Dexter to Rushford then 30 west to 74 then 74 north to Weaver on Hwy 61 then north to Red Wing.

Time to leave Spirit Lake, I say as soon as you guys want. Think we should go as early as the whoever has a schedule to meet. I am open so I do not care. Am willing to get up and hit the road as early as it takes. Think we can eat breakfast in Jackson or Fairmont. That way yhou will know before to long if yoiu are not dressed warm enough and can warm up and add layers before we ride for the twisties. We can do 70 to Dexter then slower after that but a lot more fun.

Nice job on the route Bill. Hwy 16 is one of my favorites in S. Minnesota. Never been on 30 and 74 though. Can't wait to try 'em out.
