I bumped accross this sheepskin product in another forum and decided to buy one. I got the Deluxe model in size Medium and it fits the base and the rise of my Mustang Wide Vintage seat perfectly. I've seen other sheepskins for bikes, but the cut and quality of this one seems perfect.
Just went for a ride after working outside and getting persperation in my undies. I think it actualy dried me out a little.

Steve,
After experiencing the "sweated-jeans-sticking-to-my-ass" this weekend I ordered one these Alaska buttpads. I hope this product still brings satisfaction to you.

Steve,
After experiencing the "sweated-jeans-sticking-to-my-ass" this weekend.......
Joe_WaZooI'm still satisfied Joe, but I'll have to add that in general, especially with jeans, it helps to wear underpants too. :Scholar:
I think you'll like the product. I've been using a length of adhesive-backed velcro tape to keep the front of the buttpad from flying up when I stand off the seat when underway, and at the top of the back-rise part of the seat to keep the highest part of the buttpad from falling down.

Does this buttpad do anything for the comfort of the ride?
I have a Corbin solo seat and it is still a brick after 3,000 miles. I would like to get an Airhawk, but they don't make one that fits my seat. I'm looking for anything to get rid of the pain I get after riding about 100 miles.

Joe,
Have you seen Airhawk's Medium Cruiser Pad? It was released last summer, and has the same width as the normal cruiser pad, but isn't as long, meaning that it fits a lot of bikes in a much better way. Additionally, the customer support is outstanding.
Sheepskin may be just as good...but my butt has experienced the true workings of Airhawks, and I'm an Airhawk customer for life.

Yeah Chris, I checked the sizing of even the pillion pads. The Corbin Solo is a really weird size. It's something like 13" wide and 16" long (going from memory so I could be off). The large is too big in one dimension (width) and the medium is to big in the length. The pillion versions are too small all the way around with the Lg. pillion being the closest.
I may have to try one of these. After all, it can't be any worse than the Corbin...

Does this buttpad do anything for the comfort of the ride?I doubt that it would do anything for a hard saddle Joe. Its main function is to control discomfort from perspiration.
3000 miles is about what it takes to fully break in a Mustang seat. Mine felt hard at first, as in good for 100 miles then I had to squirm. After 3000 miles I could ride all day on it. You might also consider Russel or Rick Mayer for a custom build. I wouldn't refute the Airhawk solution, but there's nothing like having the right seat in the first place for comfort.

Anyone considering a custom seat should give Russel Industries a try. I had one on my Kawasaki Voyager. They call it the "all day saddle" and the name aptly fits it. I once put 13 hours straight stopping only for gas and I got off with absolutely no discomfort at all. You can get them with velour top to ward off the perspiration thing. They really are comfortable. :riding:

Hey Wayne -
Do you have a website or contact info for this company? I tried a Google search and came up with an electronics distributor.
Thanks
