Check out your next copy of VRA's magazine. Jim and Bobbie tell about themselves, their dealer, and rides they have been on and the TCVR. They have their picture published or should I say my picture published. That was at Lee's place as they were leaving us the next morning of our 1st Catepillar Run.
Jim, I note the photographer got no mention, big shot celebrity guy!!!
Can't wait to get my hands on ya..... I mean see ya..... grin

Bill,
My apologies for the thoughtless oversite. I didn't ask if I could use the image and then didn't give you credit for the picture. I know that you take your photography seriously ( because I've been riding behind you when you suddenly decide to take a picture!...<G>). Now I don't know if I should come down to Spirit Lake if I'm going to get my fanny kicked all weekend.
Again, sorry about the slight,
Jimbob

Na, I will leave the your fanny kickin to Bobbie. From the picture Lee took of you with your pants around your neckline I know Bobbie has been doing a fine job.
See ya here Friday night. BTW Can you sleep with one eye open.... grin

How do we get it? Or do you have to be the original purchaser to qualify for it?
Thanks!

As always, the day I write, "Where is it," it comes in the mail.
Oh well.
More interesting to me than JimBob (sorry) was the picture of Kelly in Kenai (Alaska) who I had the chance to visit with my folks last July. When he goes riding in April, he REALLY goes riding in April, if you know what I mean (and I think you do).
There was a teaching job available in Palmer, Alaska, and I almost considered taking it. In fact, if my Ph.D. were finished, I might have (I've kind of committed myself to the Twin Cities until it is completed). There are a few places in Alaska where the climate isn't that much more severe than Minnesota.
Kelly lives in Kenai, which is a small town (not too bad for Alaska) next to Soldotna, which would be roughly the size of Cambridge or so. Kelly's Vic dealer is in Soldotna (one of 3 in Alaska, and probably the only one with "heart") as well as a H-D dealership. They get favorable riding conditions three months out of the year.
It's not all bad...Kelly lives on a house that literally overlooks Cook Inlet. He can see 3 volcanoes from his porch. And his house, which would sell for at least $1,000,000 (river front property and the house itself) here in Minnesota, only goes for $350,000. Sure, food and other items are more expensive, but it all balances out.
Enough rambling for the moment.

I now know what kind of a house an electrician can buy up there.....grin What do teacher live in? Hope they get paid well or they could not afford an Alaskan electrician. Hell I could not afford someone who lives in a $350,000 home.

Kelly's more than an electrician...he owns a company of electricians. Of course, he still does plenty of work, but he certainly has enough income to enjoy life. In addition, he did a lot of the labor on his house himself. It's going rate does not reflect it's original value...and I forgot to mention that while you can enjoy looking at the inlet, and perhaps fishing on it, you never really can enjoy swimming in it. If I remember correctly, Kelly enjoys sailboarding--something that he is only able to do to limited amount in Alaska. 100% class guy.
