Crappies

Just to let any of you who like to fish crappies, they're really hitting up here right now. Don't know how much longer it'll last but it's sure fun for now!

In Faribault where I grew up we always pronounced the word crappy as to sound like "croppy". Here in central IL everyone pronounces it to rhyme with "crap". Which is correct, "crappy fish" as in crap, or "croppy"?

Good question Steve! We pronounce it "croppy" here. I think the correct way depends on what part of the country your in :)
