Now that it's getting closer to riding season, lets hear about everyones first rides this year!
I fired up the TCD yesterday, put on around 100 miles. From Northfield I head down to Red Wing where my friend was dealing on a new Yamaha Midnight Venture. (he didn't get it) Then across the river into Wisconsin and north, to Diamond Bluff, where we had a GREAT bowl of Cheeseburger soup at the Gem. Then made one last stop at THE NO NAME BAR in Prescott, before heading home. Stayed pretty warm, but started to chill a bit the last few miles. But my hot tub fixed that. What a nice day.

Put in about 75 mile with my wife on our Vega's. Warm enough for a short ride. Felt good to get the bikes over here in Kenosha. Its starting to cool down now tonight. At least it let me relax and forget about work for a little while.

Finally got out for a little bit today. I don't even think I sat on her since the middle of last October! Geez it felt great. Kind of squirrely getting out of the yard(4-5" still in the yard), and the soup/muck in the alley was interesting, but the pavement sure felt nice! I'm thinkin' I'm really gonna like the new Rifle shield and lowers. Wasn't too sure about the dark tint, but once on the bike with a little natural light all is good.
Lee, I'm trying to figure out where I can mount 3 canoes as I type:)

My wife called me on her ride home from work to say she was following a couple of crotch rockets. Not fair, I am out of town and no chance for rides. Plus, the boss is threatening that I can't get the bike out until the basement remodel project is finished. Man I'm gonna have to bust some tail to finish that project I started two years ago.
Today while meeting with controls engineers at M&M Mars plant we got to disucssing bikes. These guys all own HD's but were very familiar with Victory's. We came up with an idea that instead of doing like a golf outing with customers, next time in town I will rent a bike (probably HD) and go for a cruise all afternoon. The local HD dealer here rents them for $29 for the whole day.
I was really impressed with the number of people I have met this week that know of Victory bikes.

Put about 1000 miles on the dlx last week. Of course it was in Florida during bike week. Fantastic weather, in the 80's every day and not a drop of rain. Was great to get some riding in. Did not see more than about 6 other Victorys in Florida all week but I am sure they were there. Now if we can just get rid of all the snow, sand, salt residue and warm up a bit........

I was out today for a while. It was good to be out. If anyone gose out this early please be careful there is a lot of sand out there and the cage drivers have forgotten about us over the winter. Have fun and be safe!
