clutch cables???

I broke 5 clutch cables last season, 12000 miles, and my 99 is in the shop and they cant find a reason why. anyone got any ideas or the same problem??? i'll take any ideas THANKS Ren

Did they break up by the lever?

Redvic802 and I have discussed this, and we feel that there might be a spur in the channel of the lever that might need to be filed down. I think this is what Swiffer was getting at in regards to his question.

keeps busting right at the clutch handle, and thanks for the advice and we see what the shop comes up with

Find that burr and you'll have many care free miles with your new clutch cable. I usually check it every spring and drop a dab of good grease on the barrell too...just to be safe.
