Just got my latest issue of MotorCyclist magazine with a "first ride" review of the Kingpin.Very positive!!!!! The only real gripe was the license plate bracket! You know the aftermarket will fix that eyesore anyway.I wasn't crazy about the "Pin" at first, but I really like it know.I hope Corbin makes a set of their "Beetle Bags" for it,I think they would be a perfect match for the styled fenders.Hopefully other reviews are favorable.I think the cycle magazines pull a lot of weight with their opinions:clap: Dave (goose)

:gunrev: i saw the kingpin at the convention center last friday and liked it a lot, actually get to sit down a little deeper in the saddle.I'm thinking,go directly to a stage 2 add nitrous and go down the road lickety-split;) it's gonna be a long winter.Easyriders also had a very positive review in this months mag. of the kingpin

What I'm wondering is how the upcoming touring bike will be affected by the design/popularity of the Kingpin. I'm a bit concerned about the Kingpin, as the press on the bike has seemingly dropped to zero. not exactly what you want during the winter. You want people to be sitting in their homes, drooling over a brochure, and straining to look at the bike every chance they get. I felt that energy last year with the Vegas, not so much with the Kingpin.
I've also realized that if they design some more conventional fenders, they could market the Kingpin as a "Kingpin Classic" and satisfy the desires of many of us "C" onwers who like our "industrial/fat boy" fenders. I think most people are happy with the tank design that I've talked to.
I'm not sure how to read the demise of Indian in relation to Victory, but I am glad that Polaris has deep pockets.

The only thing I don't like about the Kingpin is those way over sized fenders and plate bracket.
we asked for lower seats nicer looking tanks and got them on the Kingpin (not a good name) Now if there is a touring bike coming it better be a good one, as they have been hinting about one for 2 or more years now. I ask Gary L. about it every time I see him. I would have liked to have some input into a new touring bike other than the few
questions we have been asked in the past.
Some of us are tired of waiting for this bike. I for one would like to know when its comeing out before I go buy some other brand of Tourer like other Vic owners are doing now.

:gunrev: i hope they do a touring bike as well, if they get it right and can price it mid-range, i'll be the first one waiting at warners. I hope they have a "name this bike" contest to go along with it instead of calling it the" 7-10 split"or "no 5,no drive"or"gutterbike"::crazy:
