Hello, TCVR Members,

This hasn't been done before, and may not be appropriate, but it's a good enough offer that I feel confident sharing it with you.

I'm a high school choir director (if you didn't know), and we hold several fundraisers a year. You know the drill...candy bars, cookie dough, holiday items, fruit, you name it.

We're holding a fundraiser this year that we haven't held for several years, which is the Entertainment Happenings book.

If you don't know about the book, in the past, it has saved some people a lot of money (if they use the attractions in the book), and some people don't use it at all.

This year, things are different, which is why I want to share it with you. Rainbow Foods is offering a $5 coupon per month, if you buy at least $50 of groceries. That's $60 in the year; and SuperAmerica is offering $1 a month for the purchase of fuel.

The cost of the Happenings Book online is $30 (includes shipping) and in person is $25. Either way, if you buy a book and use these two offers alone, you'll save $42 to $47 above the price of the book, which is pretty amazing. And you'll be contributing to the needs of our choir program in these really difficult financial times.

The Happenings Book is for all over the Twin Cities, although books are offered in 150 markets nationwide, and you can purchase those editions, too (prices vary by location).

Basically, this message is to ask you to consider spending $30 for a Happenings Book and saving $42, and to help out our choir program. If it weren't such a tremendous benefit, I wouldn't post it online. How often do you spend $25 and almost double the investment in a year?

I created a flyer for our area, describing the benefit:

If I've persuaded you, and you're interested in purchasing a book, go to:

http://www.entertainment.com/support

And enter seller number: 46445

If you buy the book directly from me, profit goes directly into the choir fund; if you buy it from a student, money goes into their personal "activity account" for choir tours and so on.

Again, this may be inappropriate to post, but it's an unbelievable deal if you shop at a Rainbow and buy gas at a SA near you.

Thanks for reading.

Chris

Hey Chris. Are you a Phud yet? I heard you were getting close. When do we start calling you Dr. Russell?

Hey Steve,

I am close. I'll be taking written then oral finals this fall, doing my research in the Spring, and writing throughout. If all goes well, I'll be a PhD by August of next year...if slowly, December of 2004. I can see the light at the end of the tunner after 13 years of post-high school education.

Tuba we will take one of those books from you. When will you have them? Are you going on the ride this weekend?

Yes, I'll be along for the ride. And I appreciate your support, Sparky Bill!

If anyone else wants me to bring a book, let me know so I can pack accordingly. I still can't get over the deal from Rainbow Foods. Also found out that Target has a coupon that if you get a prescription filled at the Target Pharmacy (even with Insurance coverage), you get a $10 gift card.

Amazing.
