I'd love to ride, but my wife has plans so I'll be spending quality time with my kids. (Sunday's open though)

Sorry I got a wedding this weekend and company, but Lee and I went out on oour 2002 to the bar. See photos in photo forum.
Sid,
I could easily be convinced to go for a little ride. I just need to be back into the uptown area by about 2:30 to help the wife out with a little wiring project. I'll check back in the morning to see if you and anyone else is interested in joining forces. If no one is interested in a group ride by say 10:00am or so, I'll probably still roll out on my own somewhere. Gotta show the colors....it's too nice not to.

I rode most of the day yesterday, so I don't think I could make it today unless it was just for a short putt. Sid, congrats on finally getting your '02 black! Did you get the stage 1 kit installed?

Bill and Lee, what did you guys think of the '02? I rode the black one just for a bit(Jim and I got there near closing). I LOVED 1st. gear and the power was incredible, but I have to be honest...I like my '99 better! The ergonomics were WAY off for me, but I'm sure a guy could "custom fit" everything to their liking and riding style. I was kind of shocked that I didn't care for the new bars, but I'm getting so used to these beach bars now that everything else seems odd to me.

Kit I was planning on working out in the A.M. then heading to the Hitching Post Grand opening. Maybe win some prizes. Probably wouldn't head out till around noon to the post.
Sid,
That sounds interesting enough and I could still make it to uptown by 2:30. Where abouts is the Hitching Post? I'd love to see the new Black (whatever became of the old Black after the tranny fix?). Maybe we could meet someplace and ride over there together, or just see you there. Maybe this would even qualify as a short putt and Steve could join us. I'll check back for a reply.

I loved the power, smoothness and general looks. I like my bars better but then they are not stock either. The 2002 TC convinced me that I am ready to buy a Victory full dresser.

Sorry Kit didn't see your post till tonight. Went out at 11:30 got gas in Crystal and went toward the freeway on Bass lake road. Crossed through Brooklyn Center and over the Freeway saw four cruisers on 94 So I tried to catch them. Caught them on 35W at 494. No Vicksters darn. So I headed to Warners. Stopped used the John and took off for the Hitching post. Not much happening there but I signed up for a free trip to Las Vegas and one to Lutsen. I didn't bother signing up for the bike drawings. Just not interested in trying to move a foreign bike. The more I ride the 02 the better I like it. Got my bags on and took the Cow catcher off my windshield and mounted it by itself. Dean thought it looked Kinda sharp. Maybe he was just being kind. I got to know what you guys think about it. Golfing tomorrow so I don't know if I will get to ride. Maybe after 3:30 or so.
Sid,
Just got home myself. Took the wife out to a movie. I did get over to the Hitching Post and picked myself up a pair of riding chaps. Then finally found myself at the other end on town when the skies opened up. Thats OK. They should dry by tomorrow. Will have to hook up with the group sometime soon. I'm afraid next Saturday's booked though. Won't be going on the Flood Run. It always seems to be some thing or another.
