I had a D&D chip installed on my 2000 by Tom at Warners. It runs smoother than I ever would have believed possible. I didn't have any clue that it could run this much better. I don't think it has a lot more power, but it starts easier and quiter, and decelerates without all the popping noises. I am really happy with the way it runs now.
I also bought the handlebars that come on the 2002. The were expensive, but I like the way they look and feel.

Regarding handlebars,
Are you talking about the new ones on the C or the new ones on the TC? And how much $$ are you talking?

I had the D&D chip installed by Warners last year and started really liking my bike! Not only did it start and run smoother it eliminated all those POPs when I decelerated AND I did get more power out of the deal. Or at least it sure seemed like it. I bet it runs as fast or faster than any ol' red Victorys.

I believe they are off the tc. I was surprised that they fit with the stock cables; because I also have the sc risers. For some reason the heighth of the handle bars seems to make the gap between the tank and the steering head less noticeable. To me it makes the bike look more compact. Chris they were $179.00 minus the standard discounts Dean gives.
As for the chip Jim, you are probably right I don't know how it couldn't have more power as smooth as it runs.

Is there a spell check here some where ?

Tom,
At one of these rides, I'll have to try out your handlebars and see if they "do it" for me. $179 seems pricey, when the other handlebars are in the $70 range.
I also want/need those chrome controls.

Chris, I didn't check this out, but Tom at Warners told me the price of anything chrome has gone up. He told me the other bars are up in price, also.
The EPA is cracking down on the chemicals used to chrome. I don't know if any of it is true, but I trust Tom & Dean, so I just take there word for it . Besides I am a compulsive buyer. If I see something I want, I just by it.

Pat, I picked one up this spring also...$106+change including tax. (But I don't get the discount, so may be less for you). I haven't noticed any increase in power, but I'm still tweaking my TPS to get her dialed in "just right", so time will tell:D .
