Saw a red Victory going west on County Road 70 in Lakeville, who turned north around Dodd Road. Can't recall what road it was for sure. Then a mile further to the west, an other new one was going east on 70th. Think it was grey or tan with bags. This was just before noon Saturday this weekend.

Bill

You might see more if you get out and ride yours, then you wouldn't be reporting sightings you would be reported as a sighting.

Oh, did you here that there are now more Vics on the road than Harleys!!

Just Kiddin.

Sure would be nice to see you out and about a little more.

Me, Hilary, my Uncle and his boy are in Warba today checking out Casper's Leather(any relation Pete??). All of a sudden I hear from the front of the store..."I'm lookin' for a guy named Swiffer"! I turn around and there stands Dave(gooseman) from Cannon Falls! Man, talk about a small world...I think Warba may have 130 people in it on a busy day. Dave, it was nice to meet your Wife and Daughters. Hope you all missed out on the bad weather up there(we got nailed on the way home).

Saw a couple out today as well...

On the 101/169 split I saw a silver Vegas and a little farther down 169, I saw a blue/black C with the old style touring shield. Both were heading East. Anyone on this board?

By the way, I was the one going the other way on the yellow/black C.

No, it wasn't me. I had the scoot put away by about 5:00 pm on Sunday.

I was out for about 3 hours trying to get the 500 miles on the new Stage II kit done.

By the way, I highly recommend the Stage II. It's a real kick in the pants - literally... I can hardly wait until it's fully broken in so I can open it up.

I have been seeing several different Vics as I trek westward to go home. I see a Yellow/Black heading eastbound on 494 in the evenings, and lately have been seeing Vics on Hwy 7 both in and out of the city. Yep, they're catching on.

I followed a guy all the way from Austin to the Cities yesterday who had a KYSO VICTORY emblazened across the back of his helmet. Funny thing was he was sitting on an Illusion Blue Gold Wing -- about as close to KYSO Blue as one could get. He was bobbing his head -- I assume to music from the AM/FM/Weather Radio -- as he "cruised" down the road. No doubt he was keeping his hands warm on the heated grips as he watched the temperature gauge.

I think they (goldwings) are an age thing. My son-in-law thinks guys should just skip that phase and go directly to a convertible.

I was out on Wisconsin 35 yesterday and came across a two-tone gray/black Vic taking 63 to Red Wing yesterday. Was it anyone here?

By the way, if anyone else was out yesterday, what was going on in the River Valley???

Red Wing was backed up with traffic. Pepin was loaded with folks, and I had to wait for 20 minutes at the intersection of 35 & 63 going north from Bay City! Then, Prescott was backed up and Hastings was overflowing as well.

I know the leaves were in peak form yesterday, but I didn't anticipate it being anything like that...

Hey Joe,
I too was on 35 heading south out of Prescott and was amid much traffic. I was making a loop from Hastings to Red Wing and back. Turning off 35S and taking that short road into Red Wing, we were backed up 2 miles because of traffic lights, and people flow. I met a nice guy on an 02 Heritage Softail from Forest Lake who does road construction as we were putting into town.
It was a nice day for a ride, I wish I could have been out there more.

I stopped at the Pat Clark Victory dealship in Vegas this week and saw them working on a custom. They had the Freedom engine completely polished. It looked really good! I should have taken photos but forgot. They also had the custom tank and fenders painted for this bike. It was a Vegas before the changes. The frame was covered so I did not get a chance to see it's modifications.

These guys spoke a lot about the North Star custom work and trying to compete with them. Anybody know what the website is for North Star? The Vegas dealer said that they can not access the North Star site that they know of. They say it seems to be under constant construction and was supposed to be complete in March 2003?

Thanks,

That's funny about Pat Clark. I was in there a couple of weeks ago and talked to the manager. I sent him some pictures of Northstars work when I got back and never heard a word from him. Now they say they are trying to compete with us?!? The web site will be up shortly. There was a problem with the sight designer that will be fixed this week. I will post a couple of pictures in the pic section.

Had a triangle emblem on the tank. upsweep on the exhaust. Anyone guess what the emblem was??? I was coming back from Spooner Sat. crossing the river at Taylors Falls when I spoted a ghostly looking Victory at a gas station I honked and Waved and the helmeted guy waved back. I cruised on by and stayed the course toward the freeway at Forest lake. I saw a bike up in front of me so of course I had to catch up. As I was passing a car I noticed a motorcycle in my mirror doing the same back a few cars and this guy was coming fast. Going on to the freeway I got a glimpse of a cowcatcher windshield coming fast behind me. As I hit the throtle this guy matched my every move. He pulled along side and I noticed hard bags that had some skid marks from what reminded me of my crash. I pulled into the way side rest and so did Casper the freindly ghost. Pete and I had a good conversation and we were both back on the rode. Nice to see great people on the rode. Thanks for catching up Pete.

Sparky, think we can handle that kind of bandwidth?

Thanks to our sponsors we have the bandwidth. So keep buying those Vics thus we will have more to see. Creating more to post about.

On my ride last Saturday, I saw a red & black C driving though Prescott. Then at King's Bar in Miesville, I saw a shiny new red Kingpin sitting out front. I went in and introduced myself to the owner and told him about this wonderful site.

He bought his bike from Heinens and had had it for a week. It was an addition to his collection (2 HD's and a Suzuki) but he loves riding it.

Hopefully, we'll see him around here and on a few rides.

Took the afternoon off and rode up to DennisKirk in Rush City, MN. It was a nice ride up. I bought some of those flip shields for my helmet. After that last ride with the heavy rain, another Vic rider had this unit and it served him well. Click here for those items :

The beers are small and it is kinda like sitting on a beach in Mexico, every three or four minutes anothers person walked by asking for dances....it took them at least two hours before they realized that we were only there for the cheap beer.
But, they weren't too old...some kinda ugly...but not too old.

Well last Sunday we gave the folks at Wisconsin Dells a look at Victorys, since 40 plus bikes rolled into town. We initially met up with riders from Illinois in Milwaukee at G and G sports. Then headed off North of Madison, picking up more Victory riders from the Madison area. By the time we got to Wisconsin Dells we had a rather large pack of Victory's to the point of needing police to hold up traffic for us, in one small town on the way.

Stop the Press!!! I ran across three Victoy's yesterday. Two on the way home from work on Rockford Rd (42nd). One was the black cruiser with the flame paint job. He was traveling with two other metric V-Twins and had license plates with green letters on white background. They had all the travel gear and were on some type of raod trip.

Passed the other Victory going West on 42nd just out of downtown Robbinsdale. This was an older bike with the red & black paint job.

Stopped at The Joint last night for a soda while on my bike. In the parking lot was a 99 Victory with an Army look to it. Cali plates. The bike was completely repainted like an Army jeep, flat green and had all kinds of Veteran pins on it. Black ape hangers. The guy's side bags were those old metal canisters that hold ammo, they were welded on to the side bars just below seat. I wish I had my camera as this would have made for a great picture.

So I walk into my office building this morning and right outside the cafeteria, in the commons area, is a shiny purple with silver tribal graphic Vegas! It's all chromed out and has the Vic performance pipes, billet wheels, the whole nine yards.

Apparently, BBY is sponsoring a United Way ride for Charity on September 11th, and this is their way to generate interest.

The bike has WI plates on it, so I figure it's one of the corporate bikes they are loaning out.

Anyway you look at it, it's a good piece of advertisement for Victory, and a really nice looking bike.

Cruel and Unusual Punishment

Sunday (10/24/2004) I was helping the Mrs. with her repaint project for the front room. The weather was nice outside but my Vic has been retired for the season. As I was painting the trim on the front window along come the sounds of a V-Twin up the street. I have many HD’s in the neighborhood, some nice metric cruisers and a S&S Chopper. Maybe one of them? I was standing on the ladder in the front window and here comes along a Red Victory with the rider all dressed in full leather around 11AM. It was MrHawk92C (Jim) moving on down Drew Ave. This is cruel and unusual punishment.

I ride all winter and jump on any day over 20 degrees to ride to work. Then take the long way home to enjoy the afternoon temps. Have been caught in snow a few times but usually try to avoid it. Spotted a Hammer, 2005TC, a Orange/white Vegas, and a 99 all in the parking lot of the Joe's Crab Shack across from my hotel parking lot in Memphis, TN. Wednesday night is bike night in this town and there are groups of bikes parked everywhere. The Hammer was owned by the dealer. He tells me that it brings in customerss, but then they buy a Kingpin, Vegas, or TC. I am going to try to swing by their dealership today to look for the Dealer TeeShirt. It's hotter then hell down here. 78 already by 7:30AM with the high of 91.

Spotted an 8-Ball in Stillwater today (05-15-2005) around 2PM. The owner stopped and spoke some with myself, Alan, and MarkR. He was a new Victory owner with only 50miles on his new bike. His name was Kevin. We told him about the TCVR so hopefully he joins. A possibility that he will attend Wicked Wednesday. I won't because I will be on the road again, Durham, NC.

I pondered this question with MarkR and Alan. When was the last time an HD rider would ask another HD rider to pull into a bar with many other HD riders? Yet this Victory owner drove by the door of the bar and he knew without a doubt when I pointed to him that we were Victory owners and wanted to say hello. HD riders are territorial.

It's 5PM on 5-17-2005. I wrap up my stuff for this weeks road trip. Looking out my office window I see an Orange Vegas pull out of the business across the street from TURCK on Campus Drive, followed by a black VTX maybe. Not fair!

Coming home from work tonight...crossing the Marshall Ave/E. Lake St.
Bridge at about 5:40 pm.
A Blue Vic behind me, brown leather jacket, full face helmet....looked like
a 99 or '00, no light bar..... someone here?
We should invent a signature TCVR wave so when we see another Vicster
we can aknowledge them from our 'cages'.
Index finger in the air making an imaginary V? ( like 1' by 1')

Just a thought...

Jimbob

Also...playing the Effie Neighborhood Bar tomorrow night ( 5-21) with the boys from Bemidji ( Jim Miller...Blew Munday)...
Should be fun.

Yesterday, Goose and I were tooling around some of SE Minnesota's finest twisties and then the WI side of the river and saw an Orange/White Vegas followed by a Bronze/White Kingpin. Anyone from here?

Saw a lot of sport bikes and Gold Wings, but not a lot of that other American Brand. Maybe they don't handle well in the wind... :Jester:

jimbob,
A way long time ago I remember reading about numbered editions of 99's having a special wave that I think we could adopt.

It was a V type wave similar to what Spock does on star trek I believe. The V is created between the ring finger and the naughty (F.U.) finger.

John,
Yes! The Vulcan " May you live long and prosper" gesture.
My trouble is that I can do that "V" ( index and bird together, ring and pinky together) with my right hand no problem....but by the time I manage to get the left hand to accomplish it ( the drivers window free hand)....the person would be long gone...

Still...it would be cool to be able give some sort of brothers and sisters of the Vic world wave/gesture.

Saw a blue Vegas and a black Hammer at Whiskey Junction on sunday. It was the remainder of a bike show and wet tee shirt contest they had on Sat. I talked to the kid riding the Hammer, can't remember his name but he said he bought it at Kline's and told him of the TCVR. There were plenty of bikes boobs and beer there. Every sunday from 2 to 6 there is a band playing called Pork Chop, they play alot of Skynard Stevie ray and bands of that nature. would be a good stoping of place for sunday rides. O and there was a red deluxe cruiser there to. :FoodDrink

Caught a glimpse of a victory in Montgomery tonight. I whipped around and followed this beautiful blue and silver std cruiser for a few blocks to discover the gentleman riding the bike pulling into the driveway of a house in town. I stopped and introduced my self as a TCVR member and visited for a bit. Can't remember the guys name but seemed to be nice. He stated that he purchased his 03 cruiser from Warners as a leftover only a couple weeks ago. Sure is great to see another Vic in Montgomery. Maybe even a new TCVR member?
