Saturday was a day of great fun good freinds and what I thought was a fast bike. I put my black on the Dino and found out that I had less horse power than I thought. The Tech came out with my readout and said something about "you got the air filter and pipes" Lee jumped in and said no thats stage two. The tech said I should be getting about 10 more horse power. I was only at 86 horse. He thought it could be the pipes. So I went home and put on my stage one pipes and went for a test ride. It felt better to me so I called Lee and he said he was planning on the same thing. He called later and said when could I meet him on Sunday because he thought he had made the right choice. We met Sunday afternoon and went for a little put.

Whoa MAMA. Talk about getting your doors blown off. I toolk him for a while when we went from first gear. Then I backed down cause we were going to fast. So I told him we would role on in fifth gear. We both roled on and Lee left me there like I was dragging an ancor. OK lets try fourth.
This time I thought I was standing still. Lee's bike is unbelievably fast and all he had to do was swap out his black pipes. I think my racing days are over. My bike scares me but Lee let me ride his and I thought I was going to throw myself off the back. I was afraid to let my fingers free to pull the clutch to shift.
I am happy for you Lee and I know all of us will be following you for a long time.

Ok, so maybe it was alittle more than a tweak. Here's the parts list for the Northstar Customs 102" motor:

Cylinders: bored .200 over and re-nicasiled
Pistons: custom made Ross Racing 11.25:1
Cams: Andrews 440 lift (#3)
Heads: hand ported
Throttle bodies: ported
Crank: turned down to lighten by 5 pounds
Chip: custom map

It also has a Techlusion on it for right now. We need to burn a new chip specifically for this combo and it hasn't been done yet.

As Sid said, it is spooky fast now!!

What about the oil pump, did you get that modified as well?

I hope Jere can come thru for you on burning a chip, I've been waiting for 11 3/4 months and have placed a call to him at least once a month and more frequently when there is a ride coming up to remind him that I still need that part of the work done and always get the same answer " humm,,in about a week or two I......" C'mon now, I understand that the ECU configuration is the most dificult part to modify and it takes a lot of time to do it but lets get real here, did he sell me on something that he could not complete or is he really going to come thru?? The answer to that question is yet to be seen. Maybe if the two of us gang up on him he will make it happen. I'm not talking about violence or anything like that. All I'm saying is a little push towards getting the project finished might get him moving in the right direction. Got any Ideas??
