This is a new helmet from Bell and rumor is they are already changing a few things for the next rev. The reviews are mixed but after riding with it I find it good for me. It does have more wind noise than my Shoei RF1000 full face (at Shoei being checked out) but most modulars do. I use ear protection so it really doesn't matter. The fit is excellent for my noggin and it has a built in sunshade which doesn't bounce on my nose when down, an aggrevating issue I've found with others. As with most full face units my perphiperal vision is cut down by a few degrees. Most vents are fixed except the front but this isn't a $700 unit. For the times I may want to use a modular this will do just fine and after my face plant on SS my nose and teeth keep pestering me to use full protection (I hate that).

I picked one of these up at Moto Primo for about $130 including tax last week, they are on clearance down from $219 (the model I got). They have several left as of yesterday. They are also on sale online at http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/1/38/34948/ITEM/Bell-Revolver-Helmet.aspx?SITEID=Google_Bell_Revolver_Helmet&WT.mc_ID=10001&WT.srch=1&esvt=GOUSE340935388&esvadt=999999-0-4019547-1&esvid=400074 for $109.95

Bell was THE helmet manufacturer in the '60s and '70s then lost focus. We all had a Bell Star back then as all the racers and Evel wore them. Their latest entries into the market position them as a serious player once again. Nice to see them back.

Got an email the other day from Jafrum with this helmet on sale for only $78 http://www.jafrum.com/Motorcycle-Helmets/Modular-Flipup/Bell-Helmets-Bell-Revolver-Modular-Helmet-with-internal-Sun-Shade-Solids

I don't need a new helmet right now, but it sure is tempting.

Now that's a rockin deal! I've ridden about 300 miiles with mine and I like it, no real complaints. I think Bell is re-engineering some of the features and may update or replace it. I'd feel better if it had SNELL or ECE standards but you won't find that until you spend $699+ for a Schuberth C3. I can't find any other modular which is Snell or ECE rated at this time. That's curious as many open face helmets are Snell 2010 rated.

I have not tried on a Bell helmet for many years, what kind of head shape do they fit best?

I bought a Shoei back in the late '80s that I used for many years, but after riding any more than 45 to 60 minutes I would get a splitting headache centered in my forehead. It seems to me the Shoei is made more for a round head whereas my head is more oval.

I've had better luck in fitting with Shoei than Arai and the Bell works for my head. I've also tried on several Bell L and XL and some fit better than others. That's why I like to try on the actual helmet I'll be using. Try one on and go sit on a bike in the showroom reading the paper for an hour :Laugh1:
