My factory windshield took a beating in the accident last Saturday but the quick-lock brackets and all hardware are OK. I'm looking for a local vendor to replicate the windshield in acrylic, mine is still intact but badly scratched. Victory uses a polycarbonite rather than acrylic (according to Cee Bailey) and acrylic is much easier to buff out and restore (Cee Bailey won't restore a poly unit). I've done many Cee Bailey units over the years and cut/molded/finished a few myself for the bass boats but would like to find a local vendor with the right tools (it's a very time consuming process without them). My guess is there's one close by hiding under our noses. Any leads?

Nope JV, Sportech won't make customs if a replacement isn't listed and Victory is not. Cee Bailey will for about $180. Rifle does make replacement windshields for some Victorys (the Mini-Standard is listed) http://rifle.com/SearchBike.aspx?Make=Victory&MakeNo=11 and the cost is $99.00 for mine. In addition Rifle offers them in different tints as well as +2" or +4" or custom sizes.
I picked up a like new Memphis Slim from a Hammer rider in Northfield the other day and it is 15" high (headlight cutout to top) while the Mini-Standard is 16" high (I can raise the MS an inch or more, great for my size and the Hammer) but is 2" wider and flatter. It does give a little better protection due to the width top to bottom but it also transfers more wind buffett (tolerable) to the bike which the Mini-Standard didn't do. You hardly knew the Mini-Standard was on the bike from a handling standpoint. IMO it also detracts from the Hammer's looks. I'll be getting another Mini-Standard.

Thanks Rick. They do make several replacement windshields but none for the Victory Mini-Standard.

Wish they were but they don't make OEM replacements for Victory anyway.

The problem with PC is that it absorbs moisture and then gets cloudy. All PC shields are coated after making. That's why Cee Bailey won't touch one.
