Happened to me today when using one of our old diskettes....
Then the 'puter crashed...wiped out all the drivers for the A drive, printer, modem....and the CD-Rom had apparently vaporized into thin air. I thought I had killed the hard drive.
Talked with Sparky about it and tried a few suggestions. Then I went to system setup and just started changing things ( mainly to default settings)....Thank you Lord! It came back, cd-rom and all. Then I was able to reload the missing drivers. Hee-haw!
I charged myself $150.00 for the work.
