I would like to change the pulley on my Vic. Will a HD pulley bolt up? Who sells pulleys on the aftermarket with the correct number of "teeth" that fit victorys?
Is the Vegas pulley different (i.e. a different part #) from the TC or Classic/V92C?

what are you after? Different look? different cruising RPM? Ness sell several chrome pulleys, but I'm not 100% sure that they will work with the stock wheels. One of the members on the VMC site is making/selling a different size pulley (not sure if it is front or rear) to lower cruising RPM.

No HD pulleys won't fit.

This is a great subject, and as much as I love our forum (I really do), it should probably be asked where some other Vegas owners are (they WILL be here, just aren't yet...that's why everyone should carry a few cards and leave them with other Victory owners (or on their saddles).

So, I'd suggest going to the VMC and asking that question...or visiting Tom, if he isn't too busy (which he seemed to be).

My guess is that the belt/pully system will be the same.

Now the big question...WHY? Just looks, or is it a performance issue? If it's about looks, give Victory or the Aftermarket some time...they may come up with a solution.

What's your objective Rufus? If its lowering your rpm, Cycle Dynamics makes a 32-tooth counter sprocket to replace the stock 30-tooth sprocket on pre-Freedom engines. I have one on my 2000 C and it is nice. Don't know if it would fit a freedom though. Contact Cycle Dynamics if that's what you're after.

can you use the original belt with the 32 tooth sprocket?

Be sure to get your facts straight for your model before you do anything. The sprockt costs $300. Also be aware that your indicated speedo and odo will be off by about 6.8% if your stock sprocket is 30 teeth (ie. indicated 65 mph, you'll be doing an actual 69 mph). The instruments read off the transmission. My opinion is that with a 99 or 00 bike anyway, its worth the trade off.

My objective is purely cosmetic. I have spoked wheels on my Vegas and do not feel the stock (or chromed) pulley properly complements them. I know that the aftermarket will eventually come up with some alternatives, I was just wondering if anyone knew if alternatives were available now.
