Well let me tell you that the salt flats being so flat puts pounds on you that you would not believe without seeing. Seeing is believing.

Wow. Even thought it looks like I was scrunched after getting hit on the head (think cartoon anvil, or cartoon monster's fist) I can still say - Darn I look good. Heck, now I don't have to worry what I would look like if I turn into a chunky monkey - thanks for the enhancement Sparky!

Yep, guilty. Well, after all of my work duties were complete for the next run (which required me to work through breakfast - something which , ahem..Unions do not allow) it was an opportune time to have breakfast as we were waiting in line. Our camera man already had either: Pancakes, or breakfast burritos (more culture for us) just like he did every morning on the salt.

That is my left over diner from the night before. I was trying to re-heat my meat on the ramp for the trailer. The potatoes reheated well, but the meat was taking a little longer then I could hold out for. Had it been the afternoon sun, it would have cooked pretty quickly. It was still very good!

Now, I wonder where Sparky's left overs were....oh yeah, there weren't any...

Nice work John. This shows ability to overcome obstacles. Must have been a boy scout or former military.
And no worries about seasoning, you're standing on a big salt shaker:BigLaugh:

No John, the truth be told, you slept through breakfast every morning. Jeff and I ate cause we got up before we went out on the salt.

While you were waiting in line (sitting around), I was still working, gathering the pictures and video to capture the "World's Fastest Victory On The Salt Flats" experience. The same fruit of my labor you are belittling but asking to fill your hard drive from. :duel::duel::duel:

Below the work getting done..... oh isn't that Greg. Who is eating????

Your turn. :Hehe:

Damm John, I just happened to find another picture of you working without a meal. NOT!!! That's me taking the picture, recording the tear down of the engine. And I see two pit crew members wrenching (working) on the bike and there is this guy on the left, what the heck is he doing again.

P.S. Don't step on the photo journalist's shoes. :D

Ahh, good ole Sparky with the "evidence camera".

I think you are forgetting that day just a bit. I recall you bought those burgers for us, AND, that was my first, yes first meal of the day - after records were broken and teardown was beginning. That was approximately 3:30 pm. I also recall that you had already put down 2-3 meals already by that time.

None the less, each of us at Project Salt 2009 know who the real chow hound of the team is - it was the guy that usually had to put his camera down first before putting the food in. The rest of us, well...we had to work and feed at the same time.

But either way - thanks for the burger, it was good!
