Just thought I'd introduce myself to the forum and post a picture. I purchased my first Victory motorcycle last week. It's a "dealer fresh" (never registered) 2007 Victory Kingpin Touring. In the past I've had a handful of different brand of bikes including a few Hondas, 3 Moto Guzzi, and one Kawasaki. Been riding motorbikes since roughly 1981. The passion to add a Victory to my flock started in the Winter of 2004 when I rented a 2004 Victory Touring bike while vacationing in sunny Arizona. It seemed that all bikes I rode or saw since then were always being compared to Victory.

Over the past few weeks I test rode quite an array of brands and various models before pulling the trigger on this Victory. Very few motorbikes even peaked my interest compared to the Victory. Well, here it is... see you on the twisty roads.

Nice and welcome. If you're ever up the Northshore give a shout, I'll show you one of the best twisty roads in the entire state. :action35:

Hey Paul It's Hwy-#1 to Ely. I plan on taking some video footage (helmet cam) of the ride and photo's to hopefully create intrest for a group ride up here this fall or late summer.

There's a section that has about 130 turns in about 20 miles. It's a blast. I just rode it for the first time on the KP over the July -4th holiday. I usually take the sportbike so the KP was a different experience.

Now that you mention it, I'd have to agree. I've never ridden it, but drove it several years ago . . . in the winter . . . at night. That was before joining the world of motorcycles, though, so I sort of forgot about it.

It sounds like a road-trip is in order!!!

I did a ride from Hastings to hwy 1 and back. If I recall it was about 550 miles.

I agree, hwy 1 is a great road - watch out for the timber wolves though - one scared the bejesus out of me - man are they big!

The Moose are the real terror on that road. I rounded a corner on the sportbike and..... lets just say I found the exit.

I have to agree there c-zulu. Hwy-#1 to Ely is an awesome twisty road. Rode it a few times years ago or so when it had lots of fresh pavement. Only seen moose in that area though during the winter when my group is up there snowmobiling. Those suckers are ornrey!
