Welcome to the group.
I believe we are all getting a little (or a lot) frazzled waiting for ol' man winter to take a flying hike.
Nice ride.
You may want to re-think that vertical license plate mount....I had the same thing but a nw MN law requires horizontal m/c license plates. This guy on eBay sells the vertical but has told me he is now creating horizontals as well - precision_cad_designs.....hopefully soon.

Thanks, Yeah I heard that. I will wait until a I get stopped for it. I am hoping it's one of those laws they let bikes get away with. Like on a couple of my trucks I would get pulled over for loud exhaust but bikes basically get away with it as long as your not being obnoxious. A noise law is a noise law but bikes seem to get an exception. At least that is the way it is down here.
Besides does anyone know the reason for the law. What is the made up exuse for this one?

HEY, glad you found us here.
Very shortly after the law went into effect, I had a co-worker stopped because of this. The officer said it just makes it easier to read. He got a warning for it, but I DO think they will use this as an excuse to pull bikers over.
NICE bike by the way!
Speaking of hard-to-read . . . Mark R related to me that some LEOs that he knows just hate those support the troops plates with the flag in the background because they're really hard to read. I never noticed it, before he mentioned that, but they really are hard to read . . .
So if you need just one more reason to get those plates . . . there you go!

I did the same thing in buying a bike in the winter... The only thing that got me through was burning through a couple tanks of gas revving her up and of course all the impulse buys of endless Victory Merchandise!
Welcome to the TCVR Travis! :action35:

I said screw it, since half my job is fabing metal I made my own horizontal plate (noway will I pay $200+ for what took me 20 minutes) at work. My brother works at a place that powder coats so he will coat it the same color as my bike for me. I just want to avoid any reason for being pulled over and deal with some of there attitudes.

Nice sound....thanks for the fix (leaving mine alone until I get it back with new cams).
I have the frame pieces for the kickstand. I bought a lowering kit and it is silver to need to powdercoat it black.
I take your contact is not local...

My contact lives one bedroom away from me. It's my brother (he lives with me). He does great work here is a pic of the plate bracket I had him color. Black would not be a problem for him. I just figured unless you are in Mankato it would be cheaper to mail it to me. He says he has standard gloss black, flat black, or a wrinkle black (kind of like the dull black harley has on crossbones bikes) and will come with a clear coat. Let me know if your interested.
Note: The smudge is from me and the flash it's not a defect at all it's as smooth as glass.
