I just want to throw this out there as an idea for the long winter months...if we want to do any additional apparel items for this next riding season, such as more shirts (we already have the large screen) or to have the logo made into embroidery, this is probably the time of year to do so, so that the apparel is ready to go when the weather is ready for riding, instead of doing things during the summer when we're all distracted by riding. If you're like me, following Christmas I have slightly more dispensible income than during the riding season (tires, oil changes, gas), so this next time of the year is a better time to afford a shirt and the like.
Let me know if we're satisfied with what we've got in apparel, or if we want to do anything else.
I'm still amazed that Victory dealers and Victory HQ have not picked up on the t-shirt concept of H-D. I purposely stop in at H-D dealers on my travels to pick up a shirt from that location, with its customized back. Perhaps there are tight restrictions on the Victory logo, but hey, advertising is advertising, and I think Victory owners across the USA would love to wear shirts from other Victory dealers. I'm trying to remember the producer of many of the H-D shirts...Halibuk or something like that from Milwaukee...Victory would be well advised to go and make a visit.
In addition, we should contact Victory and see if there would be the possibility of having a TCVR connection at the Victory display...either having representation there, or perhaps simply an easel with a poster and business cards. I wonder who we would talk to about that?
Clearly, we're a loose organization of riders that has no intention of going into the "club" business (such as the VMC), but we also don't mind associating with each other, either (TCVR shirts, for example).
By the way, I do have 1 white XL TCVR t-shirt left from this summer. If anyone is interested please let me know. Warner's also still has 2 smaller NCVMC t-shirts on the shelf--or they did last fall. Don't forget--Dan Lane, I'm sure, also has TCVR pins available.
One last thought...as always, it is a pleasure to know all of you and to interact with you...our "local" group seems to avoid the "flaming" that occurs on other sites, even though we aren't afraid to give each other a hard time about things here and there (always in fun). I'm amazed at our wide variety of backgrounds and how we are all connected through our love of Victory Motorcycles...and to be honest, having Warner's as the primary dealer in the Twin Cities as a gathering place doesn't hurt a bit, either. Merry Christmas to all of you, and may God bless all of us with a SAFE (crash-free) and happy 2003.
