There - now that I got that out of my system.. For now....
I am going to bring BigFoot's old frame in the house and mount a seat and my old fuel tank on it and build a bracket over the neck to mount my keyboard.. That way I can ride the Internet all winter and make funny mouth noises like a set of wild cams feeding open drags and a really radical injection profile!!!
:bounce:
Geeze listen to me..
1/4" of snow and I am already turning into a blithering idiot! :gun:

It's a voting year, and without going into specifics, ever notice how "global warming" tends to not be an issue with the ??????? agenda of Minnesota Candidates? I think the person that ran on the platform of "Guaranteed not to be below 30 degrees" would win in a landslide election...

Man, I sure hope you're right about Indian summer Kurt...summer seemed awfully short this year.

Now I was with you all the way till the "funny mouth noises". I would go into the garage with a recorder, start up the bike and record. Then make an mp3 or wav file and keep repeating it while you surf. Fantastic idea. Now to go looking for spare parts.:bounce:

I gave up today. If it's gonna be cold and not snow, I figure I HAVE to ride! Went and picked up a snowmobile suit, glove liners and a balaclava to wear under my full face(hope I can find it). As soon as my new rubber arrives I'm going to tell myself it's spring and start putting some miles on again. Shoot, the way this winter's acting, maybe we can all ride to the bike show when it comes to town, eh?

I remember riding to the Motorcycle show , I believe in 98 or 99.
But It was rather uncomforable riding Home. Probately should
have left Kierans earlier.

Sure Steve, mention the word "sn*w" and look what happens! You should've went out and purchased a 'crappy weather riding suit' Oh well, at least it might be a White Christmas for the hard core Ho Ho Ho'ers!
Holidays to All!

Happens every time! I should've bought a sled at Warner's the other day...then I could gaurantee we'd get no snow:mad:

Spring's coming!
It was a balmy 28 degrees today and the 2 miles of gravel out to the highway was almost clear so I fired the ol' KLR up for a spin! Had a nice little 95 mile ride.

Randy Way to go Randy! I just got a new dual-sport too. It's a converted XR650R, which I took delivery on today from a shop that did the work for me. Now I'm raring to go, except its all mud and snow around here right now. I hope to put some miles on this puppy pretty soon.

Congrats on the new bike Steve. Let me know how you like it, a friend of mine is thinking of going that route. It's definitely lighter and better than the KLR, which is a slug off road. I didn't do much research when buying last spring...had to have something NOW (had money from sale of Shadow burning hole in pocket)! Kind of wish I had bought something more off road orientated. Oh well, with bags and trunk it got nicknamed the "dirtbike cruiser"!

Now to go out to the shop and throw a leg over BigFoot and just close my eyes - maybe when I open them, it will be warm enough to take him for a putt...

This morning 11 May 04 we started getting snow. by the time I go home we have over 2 inches of the white stuff on the ground. I haven't looked how far south it goes yet but it really is causing troubles. Alot of people forgot how to drive when it is slippery. In 23 miles there was 11 cars in the ditch and that didn't count the 2 in the collision. Don' think anyone was hurt because the ambulance didn't have the lights on as they returned to Roseau..LEE

Must be the traffic jams up there in the great white north. Bet that snow fall never even came close to setting a record either.
