The Rocketman fairing arrived today. It is installed, and you can find photos in my folder in VicPic.
Overall, I'm pretty pleased with the product...installation was a SNAP! I did have 3 concerns...the first was that some of the paint on the back (not the front) of the fairing had been chipped in shipping, but some H-D Gloss Black touch up paint took care of that. The second is the windshield...the right side hits the brake reservior. I'm running special bend bars, which brings the reservoir closer than usual. I'm going to take the shield in to a glass place and have them round the corners, and everything will be fine (I already took a hacksaw to get it to fit). The third issue is something I'm waiting for a response from Rocketman for, so I won't comment on it yet.
The fairing seems to mount on Victory-quick release mounts. Pretty ingenious. And I like how it looks. Now I have to have my bags pin-striped to match the rest of the bike.
Oh--no space for a radio and still to have the ability to see the speedometer.
Granted, it's not the perfect solution for the full-tourer, but until Victory builds one, I think it's a good option. I had it out today in the wind, and it handled great. I'm trying to figure out how to attach my Rifle lowers with this fairing on.
