Hey all, Just thought that I'd check in...it's been a while.

Also thought I'd report to you about the new test that I came up with for the forks. Yes...they will bounce a deer several feet at about 40 MPH WITHOUT DOING ANY DAMAGE. Not that I care to repeat the test any time soon. I will have to replace my back tire as I slide quite a ways with the back brake locked. But that and a quickly straightened bullet/spot light were the only damage. It happened fri Sept 20 and I have put about 1000 miles on since then with no apparent ill effects.

I'm loving this bike more and more each time I get on.

Unbelievable.

Glad you're okay.

I can vouch for the bikes...mine hit a Hyundai at roughly 5 miles an hour, and the fender was the biggest casualty (until the bike went down on its side).

Hmmm Hyundai, deer, yup the same size. Tuba, wait a few years and you should have been able to drive through that Hyundai after the salt got to it.
