Well, my bike is done...2003 transmission and a few other things! I'm very pleased. The new fairing isn't here yet, but oh well. For the investment of $2500 of my dollars (not including insurance $$), I'm upgrading cams, received new pistons (apparently the Power Commander was causing the bike to run too rich--anyone want to buy a PC???), upgraded to Champion Bags and bag protectors, upgraded the mufflers to D&D drag pipes, and then also added a few additional chrome pieces here and there (floorboards, etc). I'm pleased. I pick it up on Saturday, although it is ready today. Pray for good weather!
By the way, Bill, thanks for the call. It's been crazy here!

Fantastic Chris! Which fairing are you getting? I was in talking to Tom the other day and noticed you had a nice chrome "beverage" holder on your bars...you mind me asking where you got it? Maybe we'll see you saturday, mine gets dropped off then. Not sure what time I'll be dropping it off yet though.

Well, it's here, and I'm very happy. The one sad note (if there is one) is that Victory no longer offers the highway bar that I had, so the DesertDawgs don't fit quite right (I gave them a call, and they're more than willing to help me).
Many, many thanks to Warners for outstanding customer service. What a great bunch of people.
Steve, the beverage holder comes from the Desert Dawgs people(based in St. Paul), and I've found them to be wonderful to work with and would recommend them to anyone in a heartbeat. You can call them locally at 489-5190; or www.leaderworldwide.com.
Hope to see you all soon. The fairing comes in 2 or more weeks.

Picked mine up last night! Tom is sure quick at getting these buggers up and running...stopped in Tuesday afternoon and it was in a thousand pieces; stop by at 2 pm Wednesday and he's test riding it already! We all are pretty darn lucky to have the gang down at Warners. Makes me feel bad when I hear about all these folks in other parts of the country who can't get anything taken care of on their bikes because their dealers are clueless.
Steve>roll-on anyone?

Mmmm, I read that Chris was putting cams in, for some reason I thought you were too.

I haven't had much seat time with an extrememly busy schedule (first concert is on the 14th, and we're well into our high school production of Oliver, among other things...grad school, college homecoming, church stuff, etc.). It was suggested that I put in the medium cams as the entire engine was apart. I'm not very reliable here in comparisons, as I had use of a TC two weeks ago for our homecoming parade, so my memories are tainted by a newer motorcycle. My bike seems to accelerate better than the the TC, but I'm NOT pounding on it (I never do), and the transmission seems to be much tighter than it was before.
No complaints at all from here...I'm just pleased to get my bike back!

I just noticed your new images in VicPic Chris. That is one sharp looking machine now! The fairing looks like a good setup with some hand protection for the cold season. How's the buffeting behind it?
