Saturday, July 27th there will be a ride leaving from the rumble to revy's rally that will have a stop at Mies Victory at around 1 p.m. Mies will be serving hot dogs and pop. I'm planning on going to Mies to join the ride at that point, will be leaving Buffalo at 12 noon to take the scenic route to Watkins. Anyone who would like to join me for this should meet me at the Holiday station in Buffalo near the intersection of Hwy 55 and Hwy 25 between 11:45 and 12 noon. Will leave at 12:10 sharp Hope some of you can make it.

It would be fun to have a group of Vic's ride in together. Jim

I'm gonna try to make this one Jim...I've been wanting to get to Mies and check it out for a long time, but never seem to make it there.

Rain or shine? I don't think I am a fair weather rider but the rain sure sucks. I am looking forward to the rumble at revy's and your plan sounds great. I am in.

I've alway's wanted to do the camping thing at the Rumble, but it falls on the same weekend as Lumber Jack Day's in Stillwater. I usually go over there and stay over. Have fun though!

Jim, Thanks for posting the Revy's ride. If anyone can show up at our store in Watkins that would be great. When the ABATE ride arrives there will be a lot of Harley's in the parking lot so the more Victory's the better. Mies Victory will also have a display at the rally so if you happen to be going stop in and say hi. Hope everyone's summer is going great, keep riding.

Sounds like the weather will be wet in the morning, but if we can believe the weather man, will clear up for a noon take off, Sid if you get to town earily, please swing by our home, otherwise will be at the holiday station around 11:45 or so. Jim

OK Sid. If you promise not to be a magnet for bad Karma, I'll meet you at the SA by 11:00am. On second thought, I'll watch my own Karma. I'll ride along with you guys to Watkins and hang for a while, but then I have to head back to town. I'm really counting on the weather people to be wrong again. Anyone know where I can get a job that pulls down six figures and I don't even have to be right half the time? Don't mind getting wet, just hate cleaning waterspots.

Just wanted to thank Sid, Kip, and Jim for joining Phyllis and me for the ride out to Mies. We had a nice curvey ride out to watkins, enjoyed a couple of dogs & pop on Mies, welcomed Pete (the ghost) and started to join the ride to Paynesville. A little past Eden Valley, Sid and I deceided to turn and make a run for home as the clouds looked really bad to the west. Met Jim and Kip, hope they made it home ok. Got home, 15 minutes later the thunder and lighting arrived! Sid, hope you made it back ok without getting wet. This is one more time where I was hoping the weather man would have been right instead of wrong! Gee, I should of become a weather man, could be wrong most of the time and keep my job!!!! Thanks again for joining us, look forward to next time. Jim

I wasn't quite as lucky. Got a little damp the last 3 miles home. I'm guessing the Ghost got the worst of it. Still it was a good time seeing Sid, Jim (mrhawkv92c), Pete, and Jim (framy_jim) & Phyllis who, incidently, shared their favorite back road with us. It was a little exciting the way Jim (mrhawkv92c) and I left Watkins. I was held up a little buying some new toys for the Vic and when I got outside, there was Jim chatting with Pete and waiting patiently (I think?) to ride back with me. I jumped on the bike and we took off just as the dark skies overtook us with the sudden wind and spray chasing us. That thing licked at our heels the rest of the way. Not like we didn't tempt fate by letting it close the gap from time to time. Stopped to let Jim gas up at Annendale. Then we split at Maple Lake where I tried to look in on an old friend (who wasn't home by the way) so that was the mistake I paid for in the last 3 miles. By far one of my most memorable rides. Thanks for the opportunity one and all. Let's do it again soon.

p.s. Chasing (or being chased) storms is fun and all that, but I like it dry and sunny too!
