I think that I am probably going for a couple of days, but I will camp if I do go. My dad and I may be going on Fri (9th?) and coming back Sun.

I'm going with a group of 3 guys out to Yellowstone, and then back through Sturgis on Wed, Thurs, and Fri. We'll leave Saturday and then make the rest of the trip on Sunday (I'm riding with guys who don't like the long haul).
We do have dibbs on a great campground...if you're staying the week. It has great facilities (showers, running water toliets, swimming pool) and you stay as long (or as short) as you want for $90. The place is in Piedmont (Elk Creek Resort), roughly 15 miles from Sturgis. Great location, great campground.

Phyllis and I went out to rapid city the weekend of july 11-14, ended up staying at the elk creek camp ground while we toured the black hills. its a nice campground with easy access to the freeway and sturgis and the rest of the black hills. we won't be able to make the rally as i will be going on a fishing trip to canada at that same time. hope you have a great ride sid, if you want some suggestions on rides to hit let me know. I am riding out on the 3rd with about 20 guys from Rochester and we stay the week at the Rushmore Shadows south of Rapid City. Am registered for the owners ride on Wed. the 7th.
If any of you are out there on Thur. the 8th come to Hot Springs for the street drags and bar races. Yes, the bikes race through The Bar (that's the name) in Hot Springs. Things get rolling about 6:00pm . It is something to behold. Last year the Vic came in third in the street drags. Got beat by a sportster, for shame. I don't do the bar races but they are fun to watch. Just a suggestion if you are near there and bored....Hope to see some of you on the owners ride....:D :D :D

Lee it looks like Jeff and I would be interested in riding out on the 9th with you. Camping is probably OK but if I could find a roof near where you are planning to stay I may consider that first. What time on Friday were you thinking of?

Hi Sid, If my dad decides to go, we will (don't laugh)...trailor the bikes out there. I was thinking that if he didn't go that I wouldn't either. (didn't feel like riding alone this year). But if you guys want to go, I may be up for that. If so, I would want to leave as soon as I get off work, 6 AM.
I will try to get in touch with you this weekend and we can discuss it.
Lee
( I'm going on the Ride for Kids on sun if you want to go.)

Lee, I can't ride on Sunday but will be going to Revys Sat. We are planning on going and 6A.M. sounds like what I was thinking of. Are you sure you can handle it without sleep?

Pumped ? Yes I am. I am sure I won't sleep tonight.
Boy that big bag I bought last year sure looks nice on the back of my black. The Victory logo shows well and the bungies seem to hold it straight as an arrow. Too bad I'm not riding all the way but even the old Veterans I have talked to said "don't ride 90 through So. Dakota. Boring.
I am not one of those guys that takes pictures but you all know I will get my eyes full if the sights are there. As I always say" just cause I am on a diet don't mean I can't read the menu".
Well time to go to bed and let the dreams take over. Talk to all when we return.
Lee I can't wait to ride with you and your dad in sturgis. Don I am looking forward to riding with you again to. Anybody know if the Ghost is about to show?
