It is hard to believe that he didnt want my buisness card, but I guess it would be hard to trade in a hot bike like that one:floor:

Kurt,
I'll see if I can set ya up in a week or two (after hunting). That was my camera that Tina was using. I burned her a disk, and she was going to use PhotoShop to clean up the pics & send them off to ya, but she's had a lot of class-work going on.
There was a pretty good shot of you on the Vegas givin' the ol' #1 sign, and a great shot of all the bikes lined up at the 2nd stop. Lot's of pics of burn-outs and of course the poor sob trying to kick start that old hog.

Did anyone actually count his kicks? He must have been bushed when it finally caught. Whether his technique was right or not he gets a salute from me for not giving up. :action35:

ah yes...the older kickers. I recall those memories. My brother had a 79 shovel chopper, built by a guy named "Bandit" (who is no longer with us) and after many trips the dealership they finally concluded: who ever built that hopped up motor is the only guy that can fix it, too bad he was in the ground....
The motor was very strong - when it ran. I remember kicking that sonofabitch till my lungs and leg hurt. Then, 2 kicks before you are going to give up, the goddamn thing mis-strokes and either:
Buckles your f'ing knee where you swear you leg has been ripped off
- or -
It sling shots you about 4 feet into the air (where you then twist your ankle when you land - goddamnit)( if your lucky enough not catch the kicker pedal right in the nuts) F'me that hurts...
But, what I really did love about the bike was the suicide (not jockey) shifter. It is a HELL of a lot of fun cruising on to the on ramp with a sharp corner...coming up next to the side of the car in full lean...where you look at the driver in the cage....and pull your hand off the bars while accelerating hard (still in a full lean) reaching you arm stretched all the way in back of you below your left hip (quick foot clutch) and shifting into 3rd. Only to lean the bike back up (while still accelerating) and grabbing the bars once again with your left hand....
until your next shift of course… Damn that was fun...
