How many golfers do we have on the sight? I'm getting back into it after 4 or 5 years off when the arms went ka-put. Never thought I'd be able to again, so I had sold my clubs and gave up on the idea. The guy I sit next to at work runs the golf league there, so needless to say the interest got peaked again! Thanks to a great Doc I can swing with no pain again! Just wish he could have done some "tweaking" while he was in there to make me swing better!

Any how...was wondering if any TCVR folks want to get together before it's too cold and tear up some fairways? I'm absolutely no good (36 handicap), so not looking for anything serious, just plain fun. Might be fun to get a couple four-somes(or more) together and make an afternoon of it..what you think?

We'll have to figure out a time and place that'll work out for everyone that wants to do this. Sounds like Framy's course is an option, but maybe a bit far out? I really don't know what's out there for courses that would be the least travel time for all involved...any ideas?

Steve with your trailer we could combine the golf with some riding for those that can't carry thier clubs on their bikes. Frammys course looks real nice and it is a nice ride from the cities. The question is when?

Dang Sid, never even thought of the trailer...great idea! It should hold 4 bags I'd think. I know Framy mentioned his course has a $22 deal mon-fri after 3:00 which includes 1/2 cart rental for 18 holes! I just don't know if I could get off in time to make it out there at a time early enough to do 18.

Jim, what do they have going for the w/e's? Any after 3 or 4 specials?

Steve, checked on the rates out here for the weekend, the same deal holds for weekends. That is 3pm or after 18 holes and 1/2 cart for $22/person. Sooo if you guys want we could always have a little party after at our house!!! Let me know what weekend would work. Right now I have all three weekends open. Jim

OK...we should pick a day. We'll be gone the w/e of the 17th, but should be good any other time. Or I could go in early during the week too, if everyone would rather go on a week day early evening or something. Would everyone rather go on a w/e?

Jim, do you know the rates earlier in the day on a sat or sunday?

Steve

Also, what's the name of the course Jim?

Southbrook is the name of the course. Weekend rates are: 9 holes, $17, 18 holes, $28. Cart rental is $14 for 9 and $22 for 18. If we golf at or after 3pm, $22 for 18 with 1/2 cart rental. Now because I am not the best golfer in the world, here's a suggestion. We could Golf either Sat or Sunday this coming weekend, Sept. 10 or 11 and could do either 9 or 18 holes early or wait for the special at 3pm. I would also suggest we do a best ball tournment. So if 4 golfers play, could split into two parties and two golfers play the best ball against the other two. Or if we get 6 or 8 could either stay with the 2 party or go to 4 to a party. Its more fun for the not so good golfers and also helps speed up the play so we're not playing too late. If we're going to do it this weekend, would need to know numbers farily soon. Otherwise I do have the weekend of the 24 & 25th open. So Lets hear from those interested and when would be the best time to try this. Jim

I'm thinking this w/e might not be so good due to the chili feed run. The 24th or 25th I'm open for as well. does one of those two days work OK for everyone? I vote for a 3:00 start or so(I'm cheap!)

Ok, the weekend of the 24-25, which day would you prefer, I'm open to either. Those who are interested sign up so I can reserve a 3 pm start on that day. Phyllis and I will have a cook out after for those who would like to stay a little longer. Jim

24th sounds good to me Jim! Is Phyllis golfing? If Hil wants to come along with Michael, I thought they could hang out while we golf.

Checked with the golf shop, the 24th could be difficult as there are two tournments going on that day, could be a slow day if we are able to get started at 3pm. the 25th looks much better as they have a mens tournment starting at 10am, so a 3 should be good to go. Is the 25th possible for everyone who wants to join in? Jim

Steve, Is this Sunday, the 25th still a go for you? If Hilary wants to come out too thats great, she can either go with us or hang out with Phyllis. I don't know if Sid can make it or Mark, Would be nice to have a count maybe by Friday so I can let the pro shop know what to reserve. Let me know. Thanks Jim

Jim, I spoke with Sid at the Osceola ride. That's his regular golf day, and they tee-off at 10 am so I don't think he'd be able to get out there in time, unless we started later. Bad thing is, it gets dark so bloody early now! I also found out last night that Michaels Aunt may be taking him for the w/e, so I have to get more specifics. Usually we end up meeting her half way between here and St. Cloud some place, and that would mean my sunday afternoon would be shot. I'll let you know as soon as I know more. I'm kind of surprised their isn't more interest in doing this...thought it would be alot of fun getting a bunch of TCVR's together for a round of golf.
