Picture Posting

Had a problem posting a picture...the error was : make sure the picture is no bigger than 800x0.

Here's what's up. vBulletin allows the forum administrator, Sparky in this case, to impose limits on both the file size and the dimensions of uploaded images. The current setting is 300K for filesize and 800x0 for image size. In forum config-speak "0" means "unlimited", so your image was evidently more than 800 wide or more than 300K in size. I do agree that the forum should return a better error message, since "800x0" sounds like nonsense.

About the limits, you'll have to speak with Sparky (your FFA) about this. It's out of my domain. It does make sense though, for a forum, to impose some kind of limit.

I've put some image uploads in the Feeback topic "Pic tests" to confirm that forum upload limits behave as they've been set, and to illustrate how it works.
