How about a dinner at Culver's in Stillwater some Friday night? I know a few more Culvers around in various places, but if you don't know frozen custard, you've got to try it. Let me know if anyone would be interested in the idea.

I KNOW RedVic802 could be talked into this. They just built one near us and he was happy about that.

I heard a rumor today that I may get my bike back on Thursday or Friday. If that happens, I would ride along.

Well, which would the group prefer? This Friday or next? Either (or both) is okay with me!

We are open to this Friday. Need time and places to meet. We could meet the NW group together and ride south to meet the south folks then ride to the NE to Stillwater. I can here the distant low call of a southern Tubawill (rare sighting, a must see)calling me, e e e e.

I propose that the group meets at Farm and Fleet, just West on 36 off of I-694. Then we can all ride 36 in to Culvers, and then??? All sorts of good destinations...downtown Stillwater, anywhere North on 95...cross over the river to Wisconsin and down to Prescott...the possibilities are endless.

Sounds like a plan, now we need the time to meet there so we can arrange to meet at Crystal Marine and stops along 694 heading east to pick up others if they do not want to back track to Crystal Marine. Are we eating supper there or just Custard? We (Heidi & I) have not been to one YET!!!

Let's meet at 7 at the Farm and Fleet (or is it a Fleet Farm) parking lot, away from the store. Then we can head to Culver's for dinner (a late dinner for those who are interested) or simply treats. My personal favorite at this time of year is the Lemon Ice, although I do love Custard. Don, sometime I'll take you to Le Duc's in Wales, Wisconsin, near my hometown of Oconomowoc. You won't believe it...the best custard EVER.
If we're on the road by 7:10, we should easily be in Stillwater by 7:30, hopefully not too late for dinner for everyone. You folks on the North End will need to coordinate your times accordingly.

No my bike is not fixed yet, but after riding 300 miles home I figure I can ride it a few hundred more before it gets fixed. The head light is getting a little loose now but I can still ride with a group. Friday is good for me. Sparky is six Ok Or do we need to leave earlier?

Radar looks good. Storm seems to be moving along in the southern subs but the 694 route looks to stay dry.

It DOES look like this one's going to pull it off.
For future reference, here are a couple of weather sites (one is a duh, I know that)...

www.Weather.com was the site I used to judge our going and now the sun is out. We will be swing by the Hawk nest to see if they are going to woss out like swiffer.
It a beautiful day in the neighborhood. Time to ride. BTW Don will not be making it as his sister has a water leak that he is running to correct. He is bummed.

Nice ride tonight Chris! I thought it was especially cool when you "shot" that rabbit:D . Bill and Jim, hope you didn't mind that I broke off on 10...figured with the rain I'd just keep on puttin'. Sid, where did you end up??

We got home too Swiffer and we caught up to Sid near highway 100. I rode with Sid to 81 where I went south and he went north. I drove by Hawk's and saw him shutting the garage door so he is safe too.
Hope to hear from the others with all the deer and rain out there.
Just south of Crystal marine 81 had a whole line up of cop cars with lights blazing on the north bound lane with many a car pulled over.

I made it back...the other two headed back to Lee's place via an extended route that was not yet decided. We played, "Where in the World is Sid?" and couldn't find him...glad Sparky pulled it off.
We saw a couple of more deer on Hwy 96, and then I swung south on 61, over on 694, and down 35/10 to home in Cottage Grove.
Hit some rain in WBL and also south of St. Paul. I'm glad to report that the "special bend" handlebars did a great job of keeping my hands out of the windstream, resulting in mostly dry hands (my fingers got wet; that was all).
Good seeing all of you tonight. We'll have to do it again sometime.

Pete and I are trying to think of a BS story to tell you where we ended up, but the truth is we headed "mostly" back to my place.
We'll save some miles for tomorrow. Anybody want to go for a ride?

I made it home and only stopped once to cover my face because of the rain. I tuned on 36 because nobody followed me and I didn't want to chance the deer and the dark 96 alone. Was fun to see Sparky and Hiedi and hear Jim honk as we reached 100. At least I got to lead for a little while.
I didn't get to ride this weekend. Went to a sale in Osakis on Sat. and golf and yard work on Sunday. Had fun Friday nite and really like Afton area. Thanks Chris.

Hi Sid, some of us were planning on following you. Sparky decided to head a more direct route home and pulled over to let us know. Pete, Chris, and I still went the planned route. We ended up getting a little rain in White Bear Lake.
