Does any one have any input on digital fuel processors that you can tune your fuel-injection when you put aftermarket parts on your bike like pipes and airfilter. Instead of having the dealer reburn the map program everytime you change something on your bike. A couple of them I have look at are Cobra and Techlusion. It just seems to make more sense to me.

Thanks Payner

I've got the Techlusion on my '99. I needed to add a bunch of fuel to the curve with all of the motor work I have had done. It is easy to install and works well for my purpose.

There are only a couple of different maps available from the dealer for the freedom engine (stage 1, stage 2), so if you have any thing else done, you may benefit from a "box". The thing to remember about these types of controllers though, is that you can only add fuel, not take it away. a Power Commander can totally re-map the curve for you if you have rich spots and lean spots.

Thanks Lee I think thats the direction I am headed. Right now I just have pipes and a k&n filter but down the road I plan on doing other mods.

Well I bought a Power Commander USB for my 04 vegas. Because they Claimed on there web site to have all these maps for after market ad ons. So I searched the net and got the best price from Illinois Dyno Center($249). I got the power commander about two weeks later and tried to down load the different maps, but to my suprise the only map they have is for a stock vegas. So I emailed Power Commander Direct and got no response, so then I called them. They informed me there were no other maps and I would have to take it to a tuning center. So I emailed Deleno Sports and they replied they hadn't had much luck with them as far as gains over the stage1 download, but they would be more then happy to install it and put my bike on the dyno to adjust the power commander for 300+ bucks. Screw that I called Illinois Dyno Center and they checked into it for me and said I was right and they would refund my money minus 15% handling fee. So anyone thinking of using one of these computers for thier bikes, in the long run it's cheaper to use the stage1 and stage2 mapping downloads from Victory.

Payner -

I met a guy at the Donnie Smith bike show that dyno-tunes bikes, including Victory's. I told him I had the Stage II installed and he talked about using the Power Commander to adjust the fuel curves to optimize performance while on the dyno.

I didn't get into money, but it might be worth giving a call.

He told me he was an engineer on the original Vic engines, so he might know what he's doing.

Lee - if you have any insight on this guy, please add comments.

Manley Cycle definately has a great reputation. I don't know them personally but I know about some of the work. They are the shop that was tuning the Tul-aris bike, if you are familiar with that. They would be one of the shops I would look into for that type of work.
